End of 2024 Thank You. Here’s to 2025!

Hello everyone,

I’ve decided to cancel the December Leadership and Neurodiversity video and move it to January 18th. This means this will likely be my last post for 2024.

It’s been quite a wild year, hasn’t it? On my end, I was restructured out of a job, was unemployed for 5 months, and got a new job at a higher salary.

I think the word for 2025 will be: change.

I now have 45 doctoral credits, which means there are only 3 classes left before I begin the process of changing from PhD student to PhD researcher. I’m still an individual contributor, so I would like that to change somehow.

We also have a change in the presidency next month, and the word change is an understatement in what’s coming for the United States. Those of you who know me for more than about 10 minutes know where I stand, and those of you who read my posts or view my videos have a good idea as well, but I won’t discuss politics on this forum unless it’s relevant to leadership and neurodiversity.

The Leadership and Neurodiversity project will be more active in 2025, as I would like to do monthly videos, post here on LinkedIn regularly and use BlueSky for short messages, and use my website for items of interest, including longer articles. I have already selected the title and theme of the annual Autism Appreciation Month article, to give you a hint, it’s a play on a Rolling Stones lyric. I don’t expect there to be a summer hiatus this year, as I’ve studied other locations in my home to shoot videos and have found two candidates that will work in the summer.

I will be away for two weeks with my wife starting on Friday, the first week will be in London and the second will be in Rome. This is going to be a fun and exciting break from everything that’s happened in 2024.

To those of you who read my posts, watch my videos and stick around while I’m sometimes blather on, thank you for your support. There is a lot more good stuff coming in the new year.

In closing, however you choose to celebrate this time of year, I wish all of you a season of joy and happiness and a successful and happy 2025!
